This year's theme

For the dog's sake – for real

We're looking for ideas that make it easier to share up-to-date knowledge about dogs with different groups across society, and to do so more effectively – helping to improve dog welfare.

You choose what to build within this theme. Mentors from Hundstallet and Sveriges Hundföretagare will be there to answer questions about dogs and dog welfare.

Prizes

Two prizes – People's Choice and Dog's Choice

Our jury will choose the winners after the demos. Meet the jury below.

Prize

People's Choice

The jury's prize for the solution that makes the biggest difference for dog owners, dog businesses and Hundstallet's work.

Prize

Dog's Choice

How it works

How a hackathon works

A hackathon brings people together to build something in a short time. You don't need to prepare anything or know it all. If you've never been to one, this is a great place to start.

  1. 1

    Explore the theme

For the dog's sake – for real: ideas that share up-to-date knowledge about dogs with different groups across society.

  2. 2

    Join a team

Teams have 2–4 members. Apply solo and we'll match you with 1–3 others. We'll accept around 50 participants.

  3. 3

    Start building at 2pm

Discuss, sketch and test. A simple prototype that brings your idea to life is enough. We'll build with Lovable, with mentors on hand to help.

  4. 4

    Present your idea

Each team gets two minutes on stage. Demos start at 5.15pm, with guests joining us for the evening.

Open to everyone – every skill counts

Everyone who cares about improving dog welfare is welcome, whatever your background or experience. Great teams bring different strengths together: understanding dogs, understanding users, building solutions and telling the story. You don't need to know how to code or have been to a hackathon before.
